I'm just about to fit a Sprint style bracket to the S4 type body (without bracket holes) i'm just weighing up pictures i've found on the net but it looks like the Rubber mountings sit level with the bottom of the floor then the box is just mounted straight? does that sound about right?

Grizzly,
I think the positioning of the front bracket will be dependent on the final position of the silencer. The final position of the silencer will be decided by the clearance of the centre exhaust pipe to the chassis and clearance between the top of the silencer and the fibreglass floor.
These are the dimensions I finished up with when I fitted a Sprint silencer to my S4:
Exhaust pipe to chassis: 1/2" clearance from bottom of chassis and centreline of pipe 21/4" from L/H side of chassis.
Rubber mounts: 11/8" diameter and 1/3" up from bottom of the floor.
Cheers,
Colin.
