Exhaust/header wrap - How much will I need?

I am going to wrap the headers to reduce heat in the engine bay.
Any idea how much I will need to wrap the headers down to the Y-join?
My calcs (based on 1.5" header OD, coverage of 25mm per circumference of wrapping (including overlap) and header length of 800mm per pipe) comes to about 15m.

It may not be over the long run if they're mild steel. I went through a phase of wrapping the manifolds and found that they eventually (4 - 5 yrs) disintegrated under the wrap - both times it was about six inches from the top that suffered most. A wrapped manifold on a motorcycle started showing the same symptoms but I unwrapped it in time. On the up side though it does reduce engine bay heat considerably.
