Tubular Manifold

PostPost by: handi_andi » Thu Aug 13, 2009 9:09 pm

Hiya
Does anyone know what the correct stainless steel tube size is for the tubular manifold please? I have tried measuring mine and comparing it to the tubes available but none seem to match up
Thanks
Andy

Stock ID would be 1.375. TTR and other racing headers are at 1.625 inch ID. Add around .125 for OD.

I still have the very original mild steel three branch manifold for the Twincam, the sizes are -1.250" bore x 1.375" o/d. at the 4 exhaust flanges, 2 of those tubes merging into a tube of the same bore & o/d. and then the resulting 2 tubes jointing at the `y` piece with a outlet of 1.500" bore x 1.625" o/d. that is the exhaust pipe to the silencer.
Regards John.

Does anyone know of a supplier for 1.25" internal diameter stainless steel tube as all the places I have tried seem to have 1.25" outside diameter. I know the difference is small but would be nice to get the right stuff.
Cheers
