If you want an exhaust that will wake up all the neighbours, fit a Tony Thompson large bore straight-through system, like I did...
I need a quieter box

Thats interesting - I have a TTR manifold, link pipe and straight through box and I think it is quite quiet.
It makes a lovely sound and really helps the engine breathe.
Mind you, when I drive it, I only hear the sound from a forward direction - but I rarely use the roof and it really sounds good pulling away in traffic.
I guess one persons noise is anothers music
Good luck with the choice
Gavin

One day I'll actually finish - completely - one day....

The TTR silencer box is an excellent idea if you have a 2? system. If not talk to http://www.pdgough.com

i have an 1 1/2 pipe in my S2
i replaced the stock muffler with a Stebro stainless steel, straight thru unit.
it looks a lot better and sounds much louder, one has to be careful to keep the revs down around town.

My +2 has a split Stebro twin resonator at the very end of the exhaust pipe. It sounds wonderful, BUT TOO LOUD(?) On revs it literally sets off parked car alarms when I go down urban streets over 40mph in first or second gear.
My S1 has a sensible but throaty "cherry bomb" cylinder, straight out exhausting below the middle of the rear bumper. It's an inexpensive performance enhancing silencer which I highly recommend over the more expensive brand names.
