Internal workings of the cutch slave cylinder??

Does it matter to the workings of the slave cylinder as to which port has the bleed nipple? Is it a straight in straight out with no valving?
( I would like to have a remote bleed and plumb it the other way around)

I am also interested in any comments on this.
Just checked the Workshop and Parts manuals and they clearly show that the bleed nipple is nearest to the bracket that the Return spring connects to.
So, according to these manuals my connections are not correct, but the clutch works great??

Either way works but the bleed nipple should be at the highest point ( if possible ).

I second the either way works just fine recommendation. However, the issue of whether the bleeder should be at the top is a bit more complicated by the spacing you have and how close the remote will be to the exhaust. You need to have the bleeder at 12:00 o'clock TDC when you bleed the system or you will not have an operational clutch, but you can accomplish this by turning the slave cylinder to achieve this. The slave cylinder can not be fully in place when you bleed it because the bell housing has a tab that will prevent it from turning. So, you will have to pull it out about 34 of an inch before you can get turn it to get the bleeder at 12:00 o'clock.
I also recommend that you but some anti-seize on the barrel of the slave before you install it to help it's removal in the future.

Does the orientation of a nipple have any importance if vacuum or pressure is used?
