position of clutch release springs

Cofirmation or not required please.
I've come to put the clutch release arm and springs back on to a 4 speed box that I didn't remove. The springs aren't handed ( i.e. they are both exactly the same ) and I am assuming that one end of the spring goes into the clutch release arm and the other goes into the hole in the clutch release bearing. Until I crimped them a little they would not stop in their respective holes.
I hope the pics attached are clear enough. I've worked out the position of the "u" piece of metal which is very obvious and is holding the arm at present to show the springs more easily.
Thanks in anticipation John.
