Can you bend and make flares
$5 for a new metal hose, bet some stores have the correct fittings, on a pre flared hose assembly

The piston also stuck with no hose connected, once removed from the car.

Pressure or vacuum bleed the system? Or both!

Not an unusual situation. Depends on how stuck it is. If the piston springs out easily when gently tapped upside down on a block of wood consider it normal and OK for a newly kitted and not yet bedded in cylinder. Any more force required and the seal is either incorrectly sized or it's swollen due to being made of incorrect rubber compound.

Edit: I now see at the start of your thread black fluid. Black fluid = rubber breakdown. Either the braided hose or the seals themselves. Possibly the hose has broken down internally releasing rubber particles into the system that have trapped themselves under the piston seal lip and caused it to stick

If you hone it
Clean the passageways well, like port and polish

Cylinder honing is not recommended especially if the bore surface is in good condition. If there's very light marking I prefer to give things a gentle rub with some fine steel wool.
