After some restoration works(long story) we have found the pressure plate is stuck on.
We are getting the car back from the restoration company next week and wondering if anyone has any tips on freeing it off without removing the gearbox?
Thanks,
Steven

There is multiple ways...
1) a few heat cycle on engine, with warm engine and engine off put it in top gear, press clutch down, brakes on and use starter to turn engine. Give it a few attempts and make sure car battery is good, possibly add jump start to make sure.
2) a few heat cycle on engine, with warm engine, car in the air (very securely supported!) and engine off put it in top gear, press clutch down, start engine, once running apply brake and throttle to break clutch free.

See this post by Aussiejohn, it's at the bottom of the first page.
Basically drill a hole in the bell housing and free it with a screwdriver.
