Clutch Adjustment

PostPost by: richard sprint » Fri Jul 15, 2011 7:32 pm

The Clutch works fine but would find it far more comfortable if the biting point was a third to a half of the pedal travel away from the floor - presently it is very active with no travel which makes it difficult to feed it out smoothly - is this possible? and if so how?

Richard,
You need to shorten the slave cylinder pushrod using the spherical and lock nuts. There should be a millimeter or so of free play before the pushrod contacts the clutch release lever. It sounds as though you have no free play and this might have the release bearing rubbing against the clutch cover all the time.
