Hi peeps,
I'm on the last lap, 100 yards out, and I've lost this part!
I believe its to supress vibration, it looks like hardboard, is it? I can see its length, BUT how thick is it?
Regards
Bob

Hard to tell in the picture but it looks like the remnants of the window fuzzies. Two are required for each
frame. They cushion the glass to prevent rattles.

Thanks for your reply Greg.
Both doors have the window fuzzy strips fitted correctly.
These are photos as I stripped the door frames. I have misplaced the fiberous ?spacers?
These were glued to the door frame, attached to the inner edge of the top of the door frame

It may have been used to ensure the ?fuzzy? window wipe/seal is in contact with the glass.
Frame has no support in this area and it tends to bow away from the glass. I fitted thin rubber foam, a sort of self-adjusting pressure point between the frame and door.

I use 3mm-4mm self-adhesive window felt for this. I use a lot of it in other restoration work too. It is quite firm but compressible. You can get it in reels on Amazon.
