Hood Frame Holes

PostPost by: William2 » Mon May 09, 2016 11:55 am

I am about to mount the hood frame to the new tray I have fitted to my S4 car. Am I correct in saying that with the frame in the non-tension position the front metal hooks should be positioned over the centre of the nylon fastener bobbins on the top of the windscreen frame? This would mean that when the frame is locked in the tensioned position the windscreen frame would move forward slightly. I realise that the frame mounting holes could be slotted for adjustment.

I would say you're correct with that assumption. My windscreen frame is moved ever so slightly when
the top/hood frame is locked down. I have a spare tray and I'll get measurements later.

Sorry, my spare tray has sloppily slotted holes so no good reference here.
