Spyder seat belt mounting

PostPost by: William2 » Sun Apr 26, 2015 8:55 am

I am about to fit Spyder seat belt brackets to my S4 DHC. Am I correct in saying that the rear body turrets over which the Spyder brackets fit does not require any carpet fitting and that the rear backboard is modified to fit around the seat belt mounts? What I am trying to say is do I bolt the brackets to the bare fibreglass towers?

Hi William,

there were some pics in this thread:

I'd place the inside carpet between the mounting and the belt fixings and the boot carpet under the mounting.

Would you post some pics after finishing?

Regards from Germany

Delle, yes I will take some photos when finished. Looking at the photos they show no carpeting. Regards, William

William,
On my FHC I have fitted the Spyder bracket directly to the fibreglass with no carpet between the bracket and the fibreglass. The board between car and boot fits over the bracket on my car and I drilled a suitable hole in the board to allow the belt reel to be screwed on. I may have used slightly longer bolts for that function - I can't remember. Once the board is carpetted the whole area looks neat. I hope these two photos help.
