Windscreen frame, S2 roadster

PostPost by: frearther » Wed Jul 16, 2008 8:20 pm

I've never gotten to the point of trimming my windscreen frame. It's installed, and all the necessary hardware is attached, but I have a bothersome raw edge of fiberglass at the trailing edge of the top of the frame. Is there supposed to be a trim piece to finish this off? The parts manual is not too clear on the subject.

Could anyone post a picture? Thanks in advance.

Hi Art

If this doesn't help let me know and I'll get some other views tomorrow

Thanks, Gary. It looks like there's nothing to finish off the raw edge? My frame looks sort of unfinished

There's no trim piece I'm aware of. The trailing edge of my windscreen frame appears to be gel-coated to a smooth finish, then painted. I can tell because the gel coat has chipped off over the years. I'll see if I can take some photos for you.

I love the sound of a torque wrench in the morning. Sounds like... progress.
