It goes a long way if you brush it on. I've done two coats on a fuel tank plus many other sundry parts with about half a tin. You could probably do a chassis with two or three tins. Spraying would, of course, require a lot more.
The problem then is that it goes off once it's opened.
The solvent is expensive but Acetone removes it easily.

Soda blasting is only the general name used.
It can be sandblasting (very agressive)with different grit size and different pressures or it can be Soda ro Vegetal(very gentle).
You can go very agressive or very gentle as required.
Have you thought to get it sandblasted then Galvanised.
Yes i know someone will say that will twist/warp the Chassis but were they that straight be being galvanised
After you just give it a few tweeks
You could measure the Chassis NOW and see if it's that straight

Hi Alan,
Thanks for your reply.
I have a Miller soda blaster. I have to fill it with a big bag of bi carbonate soda. Not tried it on the chassis yet as the compressor is playing up.
I did enquire at a few companies to get the chassis stripped, dipped or galvanised. The prices they quoted meant it would be cheaper to buy a new chassis from say, Spyder.
Kind regards
Jeff

I use wire brush attachments with my angle grinder to remove paint and rust from lots of (non delicate) parts. It's well worth a try before spending too much money.

But a new Chassis from Spyder is not galvanised and the transport of Chassis to Aussie will not be cheap.
The galvanised Chassis on my car was fitted in 1985 and is still perfect 100%
