Inertia seat belts and Spyder brackets

PostPost by: William2 » Wed Feb 19, 2014 5:34 pm

I have purchased a pair of Spyder inertia reel seat belt brackets for my S4 DHC and compatible seat belts. I also will be fitting a Tony Thompson roll bar. My question is whether any of you guys have fitted this combination to your Elans without any compatibility issues?

I have fitted a set (but not TT type).

Not sure have these fit, but I wanted to retain the original look as far as practically possible, by hiding the mechanisms behind the back of the cabin.

Found it a bit tight to hide them behind the curved carpeted back board though!

Angles are quite tight for the return to work effectively.

I used the original anchor point on the rear turrets, and obviously the same lower mounts.

Only worry is the slow return speed due to the angle and friction drag through the H/L slots in the B/ board.

All will be revealed once being used in Ernest!

Best of luck.

Post some pics when fitted please?

I have fitted the spyder inertia reels and brackets to my S4 a couple of years ago and they work fine. As said the "return" is slow but they work and keep SWMBO very happy now!!
No compatability problems at all
