Chassis weight

Forum member Etienne has kindly given me his old chassis to use for parts or maybe even replace mine dependant on their relative conditions, rather than see it scrapped.
Its quite a journey to collect it so I wanted to know the approx weight to decide whether I could carry it on my roof rack or should take my trailer.
Also the height would be usefull as the tolls on Frehch autoroutes increase for higher vehicles so its another consideration, I do have a dimensioned drawing stored away somewhere so could find the height.
Should have mentioned 2 seat Elan chassis.
Many thanks and especially to Etienne.

I was just looking an old Car & Driver magazine that said the chassis weight is 75 lbs. Seems right from the times I've helped lift one. At the rear of the chassis the highest point is about 22 inches. Hope it goes well with transporting it.

I bought my Elan Sprint completely dismantled and it came home 80 miles with the body on a trailer and the Spyder chassis on the roof rack of my Ford Mondeo estate. The chassis was easily lifted onto the top of the car.
