Elan Plus 2 Spyder Ride Height

I'm sure that this will be a slightly controversial question, but...
Can I lower the ride height in my Plus 2 Spyder? It rides about an inch and a half too high all round. Apart from that the car is fantastic and this slight mod would make it just perfect.
Any advice appreciated.

Normally the spring damper units front & rear have screw threaded spring platforms that will permit the sort of adjustment you are thinking of.
Before you do any adjusting just check out the ground clearance everywhere under the car.
It is also possible that tow-in & bump steer my need re-setting afterwards
I think that the Spyder increased ride height is there to provide the needed ground clearance for part if not all of the exhaust system.
Maybe their wider wheel/tyre combination clearance in the wheel arches will need checking out as well?
Give it a search in the archives because this subject has been discussed before if I remember correctly.
