Never seen a Plus 2 conversion done like this, all the ones I've seen still have the window frames. I always thought that that was what put me off the convertible but seeing this, I'm still not keen. I would of thought it doesn't keep the rain out too well...

Still, looks like a nice job though and I guess I have just given the seller a free ad!

Salut
I think the window frame version would keep out the wind and rain better unless some mods have been done on the frame and hood. The window would also drop short of the quarter light top which could be a sealing difficulty.
Looks like a very good job, though like you Robbie I have a problem with the aesthetics.

Hmm. I'm not sure. Hood down I quite like it in a Citroen DS convertable kind of way.
I'd agree that sealing may be....problematical. I also think anoyone sitting in the back hood down would get blown away.
And there's something odd about the throttle linkage ??
Still - each to their own !!!! Looks like a lot of money has gone into it.

Richard

never been a fan of the +2 in its cabrio form....just looks not right to me......
it has been said 'never buy a convertible that was designed only as a FHC to start with'
and I do tend to agree with them......something happens when designing the car...dont know what but something does......if its a fhc and dhc done at the same time that tends to work...
anyway....not for me.....

Isn't that the name of your current avatar?
Actually I quite like the look of it with the roof down; looks a bit of a shed with it on though.
Cheers,
Pete.

Salut
Even as a +2 cabrio owner I agree that the original coup? is a nicer looking car; however the +2 CN is not ugly and I think most 4-seater rag tops have difficulty looking sporty (picture proof requested if you disagree).
The original CN +2 had a more natural looking roof line, but this was at the expense of two extra and fiddly roof bars that had to be threaded through the rag and settled into the main hood frame. The later version is similar to the DHC Elan and the extra roof length results in a clumsy droop at the expense of a much easier and quicker installation. I might try adding a tensioned tube to mine to improve the roof line.
I bought mine because the lack of a roof gives the impression that rear seat passengers have more room; at least the oppressive feeling is removed. I'm also lucky enough to live in a hotter part of France to take the topless advantage; I'm just not lucky enough to be able to afford and house one of each.
