Lads,
are all factory frames (original) the same on a Plus 2. Or.........were the frames changed as the years progressed as some manufacturing companies do?

Hi
In my opinion they are all the same. Spyder have made a few different ones.
The Lotus Parts Manual shows the chassis as the same for all +2 models; left and right hand drive models.

If you are buying a used chassis it will already have been drilled/tapped for body fixing and the holes may not correspond with the bobbins in your body. Not a major issue but worth considering perhaps.

The only difference i have seen is that the later Plus 2 Lotus chassis had bolt holes for both the 5 speed and 4 speed gear box rear mount. Otherwise I think they are all the same. Even the Elan chassis I bought in 1979 had provisions for the 5 speed box !!!!
