Plus 2 chassis weight?

Can anyone give me a rough idea of the weight of a bare chassis?

Cheers

The Spyder space frame was around 50kg/110lbs from memory. Easy to lift & move around.

I would venture to guess the stock frame is about the same as those Spyder figures. The Elan's frame weighs about seventy five pounds, adding the +2's additional length and width should bring it up a little over one hundred pounds. I

For some reason '95lbs' keeps on popping into my mind.

Normally in relation to the +2 Chassis :)

Can't remember where I saw teh information (probably on this forum) but i do remember looking for it when I was trying to find a courier willing to transport a chassis to me from the UK.

Spyder claim that their chassis can be transported on an ordinary car roofrack. This puts an upper limit on the chassis weight (around 60 kgs for many cars)

Spyder's claim is true... an easy transport on a reasonable size car.

"..... on a reasonable size car"?

I brought mine back on top of my Morris Traveller (in 1982)!

Just what i was after, I've brought a galvanized chassis and was wondering if it would transport on top my laguna estate.
So you think it should be ok?
