Caliper pistons

I am in need of replacing the pistons in my rear calipers as they have gone corroded and seized a bit.
When looking at the suppliers there are standard types and Stainless steel ones (plus other race type stuff which I do not need).
I guess stainless are the best and would resist future corrosion. What is the fores and against of stainless pistons. Why would I not go for these?
Thanks.
Keith.

Great if that's the answer. Std ?12.50, Stainless ?18.50 (Paul Matty). Think I can justify that.
Anyone know of anywhere else that does stainless ones?
Cheers.

I put stainless pistons in my rear calipers well over 20yrs ago and have not had to touch them since. Couldn't get stainless fronts at the time so put in a new set of std pistons. They started sticking few years back and had rust pits in front of the seals when I took them out last year. They were replaced with stainless. Both rears and fronts came from Matty's.

I meant the only disadvantage of SS is the added expense, it's a no brainer though to fit the SS pistons as you will never have to touch them again.
