Does anyone supply these or is it a DIY job?

That looks good, I had looked at a 4mm solution.Do we have an approximate clevis pin to clevis pin dimension?

Very neat work Shaun.
Are the ends counter threaded to make adjustment super-simple?

Mark,

I did the same as Shaun, and yes I used left and right hand threads at opposite ends of the rods, mine are 5mm.

I made some SS ones for my car using 5mm rod (I think its about the same diameter as the originals) I used ready made plated steel clevises and have right hand threads at both ends. I adjusted them off the car to match the rusty ones I removed.

Unless Lotus got it wrong when they made the car I dont see the point of having adjustability, the distance between the calipers/levers is determined by the chassis and other non adjustable parts so the rod length should be the same for each type of Elan.

'Should' is the operative word!
I had t shorten mine to compensate for stretch in brake cable (Or something)

Graeme,

I bought the left hand clevis from springfix linkages. They were out of stock, and took ages to arrive. I bought a left hand die from my local branch of Cromwell Tools. I have since bought other taps and dies from avontapdie.co.uk, cheaper than Cromwell, but have not tried them for anything left hand.
