65 S2 Hard Brake Lines

PostPost by: Rich » Fri Sep 30, 2016 12:50 am

I am restoring a 65 Elan that I bought disassembled. I need a diagram and or pictures of the placement of the brake hard lines and the connection blocks. I would appreciate anything that is available.

Hi Rich, I too restored my S2 from an assemblage of parts. If you look on page 3 of my posts of the restoration:-"Restoration of Elan S2-EOK" there's a couple of pictures of the brake lines at the front. Sorry I don't have the knowledge to post the pics directly here, maybe there's someone who can :? Hope they might help.

Hi Rich,

I'm going to attempt to post 3 photos I took of my Elan pre-airflow Coupe going back together. I can take others of the chassis since it is still w/o body, but suffice it to say, the line to the rear also plugs into the "5-way/ brake lite" junction block and goes back underneath the tunnel, then up through the round hole near the diff and up to a 3-way junction block that splits the supply to right and left.

I see you're in Cincy and I'm in Columbus, but unfortunately, for you, my Coupe is my winter project in Florida.
