Hi all,
In my never ending quest to help people out ive come across a question and i dont know the answer. A friend of mine took the car out for a spin and liked the hand brake so much that he is looking for one to use on his kit car.
Can anyone tell me where it originated from or who supplies new ones, mine is just a T handle and not a pull/twist umbrella handle style.
I fear this could be one off those hard to get things on our beloved cars,if this is the case can someone point me in the direction of an alternative,If it works on his then I may try one on my 7 replica (at least that has my spare twink to power it)
Any help will as always be gratefuly recieved
Paul

but does the handle need to be inverted, and if so, does the ratchet still work?

It was used in the E93a Ford Anglia. A 1947 Ford Anglia was my first car.

Well, well, well...my first car was a 1953 Ford Anglia, but had forgotten about the type of handbrake fitted!

I dug this pic out of my pride and joy in 1968. I was offered it for ?22 10s. I had never driven a car in my life. I learned the basics by continuously driving anti-clockwise round Queen's Park in London. Until the day I ran out of petrol
Happy days
