Art, That was uncalled for and extremely rude in my opinion! Please do not come here again if your only intention is to wind people up. Dan

Legitimate question; I, for one, don't know if the 26/R came with a parking brake.

Extremely rude? Hardly.

Pete, I'm sorry, but the 9 question marks by a new member is clearly a wind up. A legitimate question would have only required one. Dan

Lotus Eleven LeMans models had parking brakes working on the rear NR alloy calipers and I believe Lotus 23s also had them, again, working on the rear NR calipers. I've removed the handbrake from my Eleven, but I still have it all.

Back in time RAC regs required handbrakes in sports cars, or perhaps it was an alternative method of applying the brakes in case of an hydraulic failure. I have no idea if that's still true, but handbrakes were pretty universally fitted then.
