No rear brake fluid on a tandem master cylinder

I'm using a Cortina dual circuit master cylinder and not getting any rear brakes. The master cylinder brake piston is hanging up in the back of the bore and blocking the fluid from going out the front port to the rear brakes. I've rebuilt the master once and had it lock up again. I just got it back from White Post for the second time and it still locks up. I'm thinking something is installed wrong. Any ideas?
Alternately, it s there a Tilton or other M/C that is a simple bolt on replacement?
Thanks!
Bob

Last time I rebuilt mine, I put one of the seals in backwards. Some are very hard to distinguish the correct direction for insertion, particularly the end one. Good Luck, Dan

Look at the thread "Tandem Master Cylinder" under the Elans forum. My post Wed Oct 05, 2011 5:56 pm.

Bob,
I had this problem with a new tandem where it stuck. piston was pulled out with a needle nose pliers and after some use the seal was fine .
For replacements look for a Datsun/Nissan F10 tandem part number - nabco etc . they will fit the space - I modified mine from integral to remote reservoir . see below
