brake light switch

In addition to the "P" clips for brake lines, I am looking for a hydraulic brake light switch. To fit into a leg of a three way "T" 3/8 - 24 thread. Not pipe thread. I purchased one and it has a tapered pipe thread and will not fit.

It's a fairly ordinary component, last time, I just took my old one to a local motor factor shop & said have you got one of these.

I am in the U.S.. i purchased a switch from a local Triumph parts supplier. I received a 1/4 NPT thread unit.

That is the part--3/8 UNF.

I will try some local import parts shops.
