front caliper problem

Hi, I am about to get my S130 on the road after 10 years, but seem to go from one last minute problem after another. Having just had my servo rebuilt, I cannot retract the pistons in the front brake calipers flush with the housings to get the new pads in. If one side is flush it's opposite number comes out, even putting one pad in and using a tyre lever there's too much pressure to retract the opposite piston.
I have new master cylinder, rebuilt calipers all round, new hoses & brake lines.
Any brake experts out there please?

P.S. The servo was rebuilt by Past Parts in Bury St.Edmunds. Collected Tuesday, returned Friday!

If you can get one side in than the pistons must be capable of going back far enough, with one pad in have you tried pushing the other piston back and at the same time loosening the bleed nipple so fluid comes out and the pressure is released.

It sounds like the master cylinder isn't fully retracted. Check that the pedal isn't pushing the the m/c piston in. It only takes a little bit of pressure on it to close the seal and prevent fluid being able to pass back into the reservoir.

Thanks for the replies, the problem was air in the servo-----solved by loosening the union on the servo outlet. It took many attempts to shift it though, the r.h. caliper pistons were the first to fully retract.
