Servo installation

PostPost by: stevejepson » Wed Mar 11, 2009 4:32 am

Hello all. I have been installing a 'Powertune' servo to replace the habitually non functioning Girling Mk 2A unit. The Ebay seller assured me it would make a suitable replacement albeit slightly less of a boost. Problem is I can't seem to fully bleed the system, I can get no more than about 1/2 pedal. Recommended installation is with the inlet down, and the unit is slightly off level tilting down toward the outlet. Any experience out there? Other than that it is relatively straightforward to install however the bracket to unit mouting bolts are not equadistant so the bracket only goes on one way. Any advice appreciated.,
Steve.

Think of the air bubble in a level so tilt it up 10 to 30% or so to the outlet or more off the bracket to blead.

Thanks, the installation instructions were helpful, it would have been nice if they were included with the unit.... I still can't get full pedal pressure tho, as I was used to with the original servo.
