Hi,
I'm a french owner of a +2S 130/5, it's a pleasure to discover this forum, there are a lot of usefull informations.
I need to replace my brake pads. Do you know from which car come the rear pads (triumph Herald ?) , because I would like to find it in France.
I've still new front pads and ordering in UK just for rear pads 'll be expensive....(pads + vat + postage...)
Thank you in advance
Jerome

thanks for your quick answer.
The postage cost only for pads become expensive in regards of the pads cost (17.50? at C Neil or 17? at SJ'S) that's the reason why I was looking for interchangeability.
I use to buy all my parts at TTR and PMatty, so I don't know a good dealer in France (crossing the chanel increases the prices...).
regards

Get new linings bonded onto your existing back plates or cut down a similarly shaped pad to fit using your existing pads as a template if the price of new rear pads is excessive for you.
Make sure the quality of either option is spot on, its embarrassing if they dont work. Be careful about the dust generated when cutting down pads, while no asbestos in them these days I am sure it does you no good to breath it in high concentrations.

Unfortunatly, french people aren't fond of Elan, parts for Elan are very rare even in high concentrations.
I'll ask my "garagist" if he knows a good solution (relining, cutting down...)
But I think I'm going to be resignated to order new rear pads at PMatty, I'll found other parts to order with.
Thanks a lot

I need some rear pads myself but looking through the sites I can not find rear EBC green pads, do they only make "Green Stuff" for the front?
I'm going to Matty's this weekend so I will see what he keeps.

Jerome,
There's a French on-line EBC stockists that lists the old Elans and Elan+2's - for a +2, see:-

I haven't used them yet - please let me know how you get on!
Salut
