I see..thx for the piccies. As often there is a difference: I have a plus2 and can now see clearly that the (small) Jag Sovy cap is fine for baby Elans but not for plus2s.
To the contributor who mentioned getting alloy caps on ebay, they are the closed cap and so incompatible with sovys ; moreover they can't even be easily drilled to accommodate a sovy cos the dimple on the top disguises that it'sactually three wafer thin layers of alloy ( how do I know this..!) What you can find on ebay are the plastic screw caps and these can be drilled to take a Car Builder Solutions fluid level sender , which is what I ended up doing, and probably can be more radically carved out to take the Sovy but I haven't tried..
