Brake Problem

OK, so I drove it and indeed, slow braking resulted in slowly going to the floor. I drained and removed the master cylinder, took it all apart, cleaned and checked everything, put it back together, and put it back in the car. Bled the rear brakes, and in the process of bleeding the front brakes, I noticed that when my son pumped the brakes, the fluid in the front section of the reservoir would move. When I tested the brakes, sure enough, fast pump felt solid, slow pump felt soft. So it seems like the supply valve to the front brakes is not restricting fluid from going back into the reservoir. Before I take it apart AGAIN, is it possible the there is air trapped in the master cylinder, which is resulting in insufficient pressure build-up to close the supply valve? Or do I just have a duff valve? Any suggestions welcomed...I started to lose hope. Thanks. Dan

The good news is your getting closer to a solution!
I would blead a couple of mores times just to be sure and if unsuccessful then strip AGAIN unfortunately and replace the front supply valve components. I would bench test it before installing it by plugging the ports to ensure the valve is not leaking
cheers

Bled again, still sinking to the floor if pushed slowly. Pulled master cylinder, took it apart to discover that I had reversed the supply valve seal inadvertently. I wondering how it sealed as installed previously, as the seal was flush with the metal center. Now the seal is slightly proud to the metal center. Reinstalled, bled... wallah... brakes! Thanks all for the help. Dan
