The bigger brakes make no difference to how quickly you can stop, that is down to how sticky the tyres are. They do make a difference to how many times you can stop quickly. The large pad and disk area get rid of the heat better. Only really of use on track days etc. I find the extra bias towards the front better as well, it only locks the rears if I stamp on the pedal rather than pressing it.
