Hi All,
I've just signed on as a member and would like to pick your brains. I've recently bought a 1971 +2s 130/4 that had been dry stored for 8 yrs. A bargin at ?2K or so I hope.
I've just rebuilt the brakes and found that a previous owner had snapped the bleed nipple off and proceeded to drill out the base of the nipple AND the threads in the caliper. Lucas in the UK can source a caliper for an baby Elan but are they the same type and size as for a +2 ? Does anyone know.

Hi Colin,
My books list the same rebuild kit and rear calipers for both the +2 and small Elan but the left caliper is not the same as the right side (different part numbers)
Make sure you get the correct side! The front calipers are different to the small Elan and there are at least two versions of the front ones.
Regards Brian.
