S4 Dual master cyl assembly advice

PostPost by: 3lotus » Thu Mar 14, 2024 4:11 am

Hi Folks,
My S4 came with a "rebuilt" brake Master cyl., but they've never been right. Wooden in feel, firm pedal but much more bite on the second push.
It's apart now and it has been resleaved, which is nice. I have a kit that looks correct.
Does anyone have the proper assembly procedure and some pictures of the assembly process ? What is the function of the spring loaded washer that is under the reservoir ?
Thanks

Wat pads are you using as it sounds more like a pad type issue than master cylinder problem

cheers

Thanks for the help
I rebuilt the master with a new kit and it really seems to have helped, thought there wasn't any obvious problem that I found. It was almost as if it was binding a little.
I had replaced the front, rear pads and front rotors a while back. no real change.
