Brake Lines Cunifer Braided Brake Hose

I need to replace the steel brake lines on my S3 SE, as they are pitted from corrosion. Cunifer is my first choice, as I have those on my Volvo for 30+ years. Also, Cunifer is TÜV approved since 2020, so no more discussions at MOT time. As I don‘t have a flawing tool (yet?), I wonder if anybody knows if brake line kits in Cunifer are available? I only found copper so far, but these are not approved.
Ditto for the stainless brake lines, is there a source for sets that have TÜV/ EU approval?
Thank you Guys!

Brake pipe sets for the Elan are certainly available here in the UK and this company for instance does sets for the S3 in either copper or cunifer and for RHD or LHD

I believe the kits often come rolled up so there is still quite a lot of work to straighten and bend them to the correct shape.
So it's not much more hassle to make your own. As mentioned the only tricky bit is doing the flares but if you buy the right/good tool that is actually quite easy.
I've just done all the front pipes and converted to dual master on mine. I bought a titan tool that made perfect flares easily:

Tool, pipe and nuts etc were around $100 so less that a brake line kit and I get to keep the tool if I need to do more.

Phil,
I agree with mbell. My brake flaring tool is similar but a different brand, I have had this tool for years and it works well.
My problem with brake tube is getting the bend in the correct place along the tube. For this reason, I buy tube, bend tube make a mistake and repeat until correct. Kunifer does not allow you to straighten and do again. I don’t use a kit as there is not enough tube to allow for my errors.
I have seen advertised a brake tube straightening tool. I can’t remember where, but this would be useful.
Hope this helps,
Richard Hawkins

I've seen plenty of pipe bending tools, I have one similar to this: https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/amtech-3 ... 5mEALw_wcB
But I don't recall ever seeing a straightening tool.

I looked at these but they are a lot for what they achieve when carefully hand straightening works just fine for the short runs use on the Elan.
I bought all my Kunifer pipe and fittings to re pipe my Plus 2 for less than the price of the above tool

Some pictures of my brake job. Refurbished calipers and Cunifer brake lines look the part and they even work! The cheap flanging tool worked great with zero leaks in the first place. I was able to re- route the brake line thru the chassis as my super- duper resto shop ran the line below the frame….. While being at it, the steering rack was overhauled, new trunnion bushes and many bits and pieces under the hood received some love. And the Elan is not hanging from the roof of the garage, I just didn‘t manage the turn the pictures in a proper direction!
