Handbrake Cable travel

PostPost by: Gopherit » Sun Dec 05, 2021 11:17 am

Can anyone tell me the approximate linear travel of the handbrake core from OFF to ON?

Cannot measure as the +2 is currently in bits and I'm not even sure right now where the handbrake tree is!

Many Thanks,

Paul

I happen to have one out at the moment.

Max travel from fully closed to last ratchet is 7.5 inches.

There is still 1.25 inches protruding when fully 'off'.

Mine is fully 'on' at 4 inches, i.e. 2.75 inches operation.

:)

As fitted on my S4, far from all the travel is used (I would say less than an inch, can go measure if important)
