Egg-cup master reservoir

PostPost by: DonKearley » Sun Nov 03, 2013 9:26 am

The master cylinder reservoir on my S4 is small and inaccessible so the first sign of a hydraulic problem will probably be no brakes. There's not much room for a bigger reservoir or a float-style level switch, so the options seem to be: optical level switch, remote reservoir or ...... Any suggestions?

A dual master cylinder with remote reservoirs is a good solution. You will find discussion on it in the archives. its what a use on my Elan.

Silly question probably but are you looking at the right reservoir ?
Assuming you have a RHD car the brake reservoir is offset inboard and not immediately behind the brake pedal....but I'm sure you knew that.

Thanks for the help. I went through the forum discussions and ended up looking at Demon Tweeks. Found plenty of options there, so I'll pick something from them.
