brake pipe p clamps

PostPost by: jono » Tue Apr 23, 2013 11:47 am

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know where I can source the small metal p clamps used in the +2 engine bay to clip in the brake pipes and, more specifically, the capillary tube from the ambient temp gauge?

Cheers

Hi Jon

You could try these people, I have used them in the past and they are very helpful.

Hi Jon,
Is this the type of clip you are trying to source.......
Temperature bulb capillary clip 007.jpg and

Not sure if it's original and it's an Elan not a Plus 2 but maybe they are the same ? The clip is marked "collett" but I can't find anything similar with a quick Google.

If you can't find those this supplier also does a good selection of stainless rubber lined P clips which would do the job.

Cheers guys,

Roger - that's the little blighters with 'collet' stamped into them.

I now know what they're called - 'half saddle clamps'. I have found some at Bresco.

Thanks again.
