Remote brake / clutch reservoirs

PostPost by: Maulden7 » Tue Mar 05, 2013 4:48 pm

Anybody have any recommendations as to the best / easiest way to fit remote reservoirs for the brake & clutch hydraulics?

This is for a standard S2 single line (non-servo) system (albeit with +2 discs / calipers at the front)

Thanks - Dave M.

Most of the racing car suppliers can supply master cylinders and remote rservoirs that can be fettled to fit. There have been discussion here around various other alternative master cylinders also if you do a search.

cheers
Rohan.

As mentioned by Rohan, the parts needed are readily available for the job here in GB; here's a photo of the job I did on my S4 a few years ago.

The clear plastic reservoirs look great and work fine , however being a sucker for a period look i went the metal can route .

James,

Its an Alloy Raybestos - 3/4" firm pedal moderate effort, I use a tilton valve to adjust bias ( within arms reach ) -

Greg,

There are options for integrated reservoirs, I can't remember how this one started life though as i sourced 2 ( one with and one with out ) and fitted this one because of its port orientation which was different than option-B.
