Just thought I'd show the before and after refurbishment photos of my front calipers (or should that read "after and before" the way the photos inserted?!). Needless to say I'm very happy with the result. Well done, Classic Car Automotive http://classicbrake.co.uk/!!

Sending off grotty parts full of grunge & getting sparkly bits back in the post is just like Christmas isn't it

C'mon, lads. I gave you the link! Suffice to say it cost me significantly more in shipping than it did to get the work done.

I used these guys a few years back. Wouldn't go anywhere else now. They advertise in Club Lotus magazine every issue. I don't have an issue to hand but they include a price list on the advert - I recall they are very reasonable.

On this side of the pond a set of 4 front stainless caliper pistons and a caliper kit will run you approximately $150, the cost of disassembly, cleaning, blasting, plating or painting, reassembly and new pads, pins and anti-squeal shims will be some more money. Anyway you look at it, new brakes are a good investment as it may save your life and at the very least allow you to stop before you hit something that will cost you even more to fix.
