Rear caliper seals

Hello
Can anyone advise on how to fit the dust cover seal on the rear calipers, I've tried a couple of ways and neither are proving successful.
Any help would be most appreciated.

With pistons out - push dust seal lip into groove in caliper - now wiggle piston in.

Simple when you have done a few.

You cannot get the dust seal in with the piston already in (I tried for a long time).

I used plenty of red rubber grease.
