Rear brake pads

Greetings,
I need to get new rear brake pads - should I go for standard or upgraded? green stuff? Might as well get new front ones as well. What's your experience? Yes, I have used the search function to look at older posts but thought it would be good to post this up again..

I have found Greenstuff or similar high coefficient of friction pads in the front combined with standard style pads ( eg blackstuff from ebc) work well and improve the brake balance as with modern tyres that have more adhersion than orginal the cars have too much rear brake and lock up rears well before the fronts. The lower coefficient of friction rears compared to the front get the balance better.

I 100% agree.... Green on the front and standard on the back.

Nice balance and extremely good in the dry.

In the wet....well a light car and grease roads

I have recently changed disc's and pad's all round this year using ECB products, good quality parts & excellent service and I also went for standard material for the rear pads and green for the fronts. Once eveything had bedded in the brake performance is very good.

It is also worth just checking with a DTI the run out of the disc's, I had to shim one side at the rear end to get it to run true.

By the way, from where did you buy your stuff? ECB directly? Paul Matty? Moss? As I have more to order, one might as well try to buy where it's cheaper...

I got the full set of disc's & pad's direct from EBC for about ?175, 48hr delivery, all items listed on thier Website.
