servo 4 plus 2

hi can anyone tell me what sort of servo is supposed to be on a 71 plus 2.cheers. :?:

Although I am not a "Plus Two" person I believe the earlier cars had a Girling MK2A and from about 1972 had the later MK2B.
I also believe the Federal cars had two servos but not sure if the same MK2A & B's servos were fitted.

Hi

From the Parts Manual, not sure if it helps but there are part numbers and a change-over chassis point.

Hi, if the original Girling Servo is missing or not rebuildable (corroded castings etc), most folk fit a Lockheed remote servo. This needs to be a high gain servo (about 3:1 boost ratio). An alternative is to delete the servo altogether. Lots of posts on this forum on all of the above if you endulge in some search time.

thanks for the info.already had to disconnect the servo,as the brakes kept sticking on , when applied. :?
