Braided brake lines

I order some braided lines from Sue Miller for my Plus 2 and, as I expected, the rear hoses are too short.
This is because I have dispensed with the short section of solid pipe on the strut tube and wish to go direct to the caliper with the hose from the mounting point on the Spyder chassis.
Can anyone tell me what length of hose I need to do this, or where I can buy the complete kit from?

I did the same thing with my +2. As the fitting now seals at the caliper top it is prone to leaking. I used many copper crush washers until I sealed them. Some say annealing the washer will help. Otherwise I would have had to replace the dirt shields which I had also left off. As the bracket is on the shield. There is a bracket on the strut but I dont remember if it is positioned properly to be used.
The right front caliper never stopped leaking so I re-attached the "L" brackets and fabricated new short hard lines with new fittings for the front. Works well now. First time I used Kuniffer brake line and it worked great.
In my current restoration, a 1968 TVR Vixen, the front brakes are the same as the +2 and also seal on the caliper top. They went to a bracket and short hardline later in production and I think I will do the same. I believe it seals better. My assumption is that the sealing success is proportional to the condition of the caliper casting surface where the sealing takes place.

Jono if you look on Rally Design website they have a range of compression fittings to make up your own great if you want special lines
