Brake Fluid - Quantity

PostPost by: richardcox_lotus » Mon Aug 20, 2007 12:10 pm

Hi Guys, I'll be stopping off on way home from work to get some new brake fluid. I don't have a manual to hand so can anyone advise me how much I should get ? 2 Litres or is that overkill ?

Rgds

1 litre should be plenty to flush out the brake system and refill with new fluid and have some left over to also do the clutch

Hiya
2 Litres should be fine even if you are pressure bleeding the system. I have bleed mine 3 times recently and have got through about 2 to 2.5 litres.
Cheers
