Evening all,
Does anybody have a good working spare Lucas indicator stalk 35605B?
This is for an early +2 (non collapsable steering column) with the horn button on the indicator stalk see pictures.
If anybody has or know where to source one I would be really grateful.
Here are a few pictures.
Many thanks in advance
Peter

Cortina Mk 1+2 used a similar stalk that can be used on the +2. The Lucas item fitted to my early +2 does not have the option to pull the stalk towards the steering wheel to operate a headlight flash function that the Ford branded item that I have from a Mk1 Gt has. Be aware that the Corsair item, although visually similar, does not have the horn push on the end of the stalk...

Thanks & much appreciated your responses as there are so many similar stalks.
I researched Ford parts suppliers on line with no luck but found these two BL options:
Classic Mini Indicator Stalk Column Switch Lucas 39384 SQB168 119SA 13H7779

Apart from dissapointly missing the chrome horn button it has 9 poles and hopefully will fit in the ford column shroud.
Alternatively this one which looks functional but a little beat up:

Car Builder Solutions sell a compatible stalk for the early type:
https://www.carbuilder.com/products/ind ... mbly-black
It's a little flimsier than the Lucas one, and the cable tails need re-ending as bullets (and I think one re-joined half way) but it's been working fine for a few years now in my '67 +2. The longer cables were easier to route through the binnacle with plenty of slack. You may also need to bend the stalk slightly in a vice to make it match the original.

Many thanks for this suggestion, I had actually already pressed the button and ordered the one for a Mini which hopefully arrives later this week. I will report back later as whether that was a good decision or not.
Cheers
Peter.
