Pedal box flood prevention..

Although scrupulously sealing the flanges of the pedal box will (mostly) prevent water dripping into the drivers footwell, the pedal box floor still pools when it rains or you wash the car and will rust and drip. I made a small ' dam' from closed cell foam which diverts rainwater away from the pedal box..See below. Simple and works well..Tony

Thanks Tony. My ideal box has drain holes in the bottom corner of the side that allows water (and brake fluid) to drain from that area of the pedal box.
My cars had limited exposure to rain so not sure how effective they are. Did your pedal box have those?

Looks to be a helpful solution for cars that get exposed to rain. I actual installed a self adhesive neoprene seal to the engine bay firewall just below the bonnet to encourage any water to run away from both the pedal box and loom bulkhead connections (another leak path in my experience)
