PostPost by: berni29 » Sat Jul 27, 2024 9:23 pm

Hi Guys

Just rewiring the dash, does anyone have a wiring diagram and layout for an early plus 2 please. Also wire colour/identification for the indicator switch assy. Ours has 9 wires.

Many thanks

Zetec+ 2 under const, also 130S. And another 130S for complete restoration. Previously Racing green +2s with green tints. Yellow +2 and a couple of others, all missed. Great to be back 04/11/2021 although its all starting to get a bit out of control.

Hi Berni,
Your switch has 9 wires but only 8 are used in the Plus 2 . There is no connection to the white wire as this is used to supply power for headlamp flash in the Ford application.

Hi Brian

Thank you, but how does it flash if the flash wire is not used? Apologies for my ignorance!

Thanks again

Hi Berni,
The early cars were wired with a system that operated using a 'headlamp flasher micro switch, a headlamp flasher unit and a relay' that operated if the headlamp vacuum switch was pulled when the light switch was off......
Have a look at the top right corner of the wiring diagram for the details of how it all worked..
