Hi Everyone.
Just got a lotus elan 4 speed gearbox!

I have no speed gear, just a hole.
Does anybody have the Blue 25 teeth nylon speed gear? Or the right angle speed unit etc?

HAVE NOW FOUND WHERE I CAN GET A NEW UNIT AND THE PARTS.

JUST THE 25 Teeth Blue Nylon Speed gear to find!!!

Congratulations on your new to you Elan. If all you have is the hole in the gearbox, you will need the gear, the retainer, clip, socket head cap screw and the right angle drive.

The gear, retainer, clip are all Ford 2000E transmission parts. - Vintage Ford stock.
The right angle drive is Smiths, same as used on MGB, I believe.
There is no cure for Lotus, only treatment.
